Flowery Lenten Musings

Cactus are appreciated most of the time becuase of its unique growing habit. It rarely blooms in its lifetime, and when it finally does, it is one of the most beautiful in the garden.

The collage beside this post is a collection of shots of my colorful cactuses that bloomed in my terrarium this summer season.

And since we are in the middle of Holy Week today, I just dropped to share some biblical musings about life. It can be found in Job 14:2, which reads as follows: Like a flower he comes forth and withers. He also flees like a shadow and does not remain.

Life is short, and our existence in this world is only a glimpse of our eternal being. Our prime years, like the blooming season of a flower, is only a part of our real existence. Our manifestation, as fleeting as a shadow, will soon be drowned in the light of daytime.

So, make the most of the time in fulfilling the real purpose of God for our existence for life is short to be wasted. Hear the wistful call of heaven; deafen not our hearts to His words.

A meaningful Lenten season, my friends.
