Tree Growing Festival @ 3

Dump trucks transporting seedlings to the sites where they will be grown as one with the nature.

For the past weekdays the preparation for the 3rd Tree Growing Festival, an annual environmental celebration spearheaded by the local government unit of the City of Koronadal, is currently in progress. The said event is slated to culminate on June 29 in the identified sites all over the city.

Seedlings ready to be planted in the school premises.

As active partner of the local government, Sabino Elementary School received about 80 coconut seedlings from the City of Koronadal. These will be planted by the Grades Five and Six pupils on the day of the said event. It should be noted that our school shares location at Quezon Mountain Range, one of the target sites of the said activity.

Other than that, the city government also gave about fifty seedlings of high valued crops such as coconut and cacao to every land owning family to be planted around. There are also several hard woods.

The said activity banks on the aim to develop environmental concern among the people and rehabilitate the forest reserve of the city.
